This has to be one of the worst junctions. The roads are decently wide but 1/3 of the andheri-kurla road is taken by anil ambani to erect a metro bridge. For last one year it has been the same. 1/3 of the road is wasted in parked vechiles and encroachment. To make the matters worse while going from Saki Vihar Road to Andheri Junction as soon as you take a right from right there is a petrol pump on the left. Many vechiles slow down or completely stop to enter that blocking the traffic from behind. Similarly there is heavy flow of pedestrians who want to cross the road, they just feel that nothing can hit them and cross the road without hesitating a bit putting themselves as well as the motorists at great risk.
After you successfully negotiated right your plight is not over. If you are on a two wheeler you are in serious trouble to be thrown off it because of the wide gaps in road.
Why cant there be a flyover for vehicles, underpass for pedestrians.
If you are going from Andheri to Ghatkopar/Powai, thats a different but no different story.
